USA Wrestling tourney will be streamed live July 18-25 only on FloWrestling.com
AUSTIN, Texas (July 14, 2015) – FloSports announced today that it will provide closed captioning on its live stream of the ASICS/Vaughan Cadet & Junior National Championships, which take place July 18-25 at the FargoDome in Fargo, North Dakota. This is the first time providing closed captioning for a live event for FloSports, which live-streams more than 25,000 hours of live sporting events each year.
“Fargo is one of the best wrestling events in the country, and we couldn’t think of a better occasion to debut our closed captioning,” FloSports founder and CEO Martin Floreani said. “Our live commentary, coupled with the action on the mats, now can be enjoyed by all wrestling fans, even those who are hearing-impaired.”
The ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals is considered the largest tournament in the world each year, featuring more than 4,000 wrestlers from across the nation. This will be the third year that FloSports partners with USA Wrestling to stream every match from the event live on FloWrestling.com. The closed captioning will be available to FloWrestling premium subscribers who sign up on FloPRO, and subscribers must click on the CC button in the video player to view the English-language subtitles.
The closed captioning will be offered exclusively for the Cadet and Junior freestyle finals on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, respectively.
“Wrestling has long been a model ‘Sport for All,’ and the addition of closed captioning to the live stream of the Freestyle Finals in Fargo will certainly enhance the wrestling experience for fans of our sport,” USA Wrestling Executive Director Rich Bender said. “We are pleased to partner with FloSports on this project. USA Wrestling remains committed to reach as broad of an audience as possible while enriching the experience for those that are attracted to our great sport. We are optimistic that this addition will help us grow our sport even further.”
