David has had a wide-ranging career in sports media working for ESPN and USA Today Sports. He oversaw all sales and marketing for ESPN’s high school sports launch and received the ESPN media sales leadership award in 2012. David was the founding Publisher of ESPN HS Magazine and launched “Girl,” which later became the brainchild for ESPNW. While at USA Today, David transformed the paper from a print platform to a more versatile multimedia HS sports property, leading the company in its newest venture.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in communications, David was the two-time New England Singles and doubles Champion for tennis in the Big East 1993 and 1994 seasons as well as being the team captain for those two years. In 1994, he made the all-academic Big East team. He continues to play and watch tennis.
Originally from Boston, David spent the first phase of his professional career in New York City. He currently resides in Miami and enjoys interior design, tennis, going to the beach and the theatre.
