STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State and FloWrestling announced a three-year agreement this week in which FloWrestling will become the Cowboys’ exclusive streaming partner.
All of Oklahoma State’s home duals will be streamed on FloWrestling under the FloPRO service, a subscription-based service, with the exception of the Bedlam dual on Feb. 5.
Celebrating its 100th year of wrestling, Oklahoma State is currently ranked No. 4 in the NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll and has 34 NCAA team championships to its name, the most of any program.
Head coach John Smith said he looks forward to a special year for the program on FloWrestling.
“I am excited about showcasing the 100th year of wrestling at Oklahoma State through our partnership with Flo, the best media source in the world for the sport of wrestling,” Smith said.
Oklahoma State associate athletic director Chris Bahl explained that FloWrestling is the best fit for the Cowboy program.
“The Oklahoma State wrestling brand has a global reach and we believe FloWrestling is the best partner to serve our fans from Tulsa to Tokyo, Milwaukee to Moscow,” Bahl said. “The FloWrestling partnership represents a landmark in the 100-year dynasty of Oklahoma State wrestling with live global distribution of our matches. We thank FloWrestling, and FloWrestling general manager Joe Williamson, with whom we worked through the details with, for this opportunity.”
In addition to home duals, Oklahoma State will be streamed live for duals at Wyoming and South Dakota State, as well as the Southern Scuffle.
“Oklahoma State represents wrestling at its finest,” FloWrestling senior editor Willie Saylor said. “Its brand is international, and its history of success rivals that in any sport, professional or collegiate. It’s a true dynasty and its story is still being told. Half their lineup is ranked in the top-five this year, and they have the No. 1 pound-for-pound wrestler in the country in Alex Dieringer.”
“It’s incredible to be working with the Oklahoma State Cowboys,” FloSports co-founder and CEO Martin Floreani said. “The dynamic between our two respective organizations will be transformative.”
“John Smith and the Oklahoma State’s staff’s vision on and off the mat is second to none. Their program is the most historic wrestling program in the world. It’s an honor to be working with the John (Smith), Eric (Guerrero), Chris (Perry) and their whole athletic department.”
