MEMPHIS, Tenn. and AUSTIN (Dec. 6, 2024) – FloSports, NBC Action News 5 Memphis, and Gray Media have joined forces to simulcast the largest single-day fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® – the 23rd St. Jude Memphis Marathon® Weekend presented by Juice Plus+ – making it the largest broadcast in event history. Since its start in 2002, the St. Jude Memphis Marathon® Weekend has raised more than $130 million, raising funds critical to advancing the institution’s mission of Finding cures. Coverage of the event will begin on Saturday, December 7 at 7:45 a.m. CT and can be found on the following channels:
- Local broadcast: Tune in to Action News 5 Plus (Memphis) on over-the-air channel 5.3 or Comcast channel 907.

To maximize reach for this fundraising event, coverage will be offered for free on FloSports and St. Jude social channels and distributed to 114 Gray media affiliates across the country allowing viewers to donate in real-time during the event. The event will be hosted by Action News 5 Plus Sports Anchor Jarvis Greer, and News Anchor Carrie Anderson, with on-the-ground reporting from Memphis-based Varsity Spirit’s Maddie Gardner.
To watch live, fans are encouraged to download the updated FloSports Connected TV app, featuring enhanced discoverability and streaming capabilities, available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV devices. Participants in the event will race through the heart of Memphis, including an inspiring stretch through the St. Jude campus, where patient families and supporters will line the streets to cheer them on. Over 4,000 St. Jude Heroes, individuals who fundraise while training for the race, will join thousands of other runners, all united by the shared goal of improving survival rates for the estimated 400,000 children worldwide who develop cancer each year.
Funds raised through the event ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus on helping their child live.
